What a terrible day for Israel today... Bodies of soldiers, pieces of soldiers, going back home to finally rest in peace...

To hostage bodies is the last possible profanation.
I am emotionaly trapped in the tremendous act of accepting the "price" of the lifeless bodies of our soldiers: the opening of the jails. We know for sure that a lot of political prisoners are held there, even minors. Held for months, sometimes years, tortures and with no trial. Outrageous... But also there is  where some "monsters" dwell. Such is today, the case of Samir Kuntar. He is celebrating now, what seems to me like a kind of intoxicating fascist rally.
I have a deep respect for life, because I believe, as Hans Kung said, that in every human being there is an inherent human dignity.
I also believe that when we construct a society with values, it is a part of "the pack" to give a chance to prisoners to be healed and to go forward, to understand mistakes, to change toward the possibility to work things out, as social-individuals. This does not seem to be the case of Kuntar. Some people never come back from who they were. There is quite a difference between a freedom fighter and a psychopath, even though sometimes the limits can be fragile. But by no means is the rule.
I think that this should be considered within the parameters of national defence. After all, we make the laws.
It is not only outraging that the Israeli society should even feed them from their own bowl of soup. It is also dangerous having to find themselves in this trading. Antecedents talk by themselves.

Uri Ur Israel...

The testimony of Smadar Haran Kaiser
..."As police began to arrive, the terrorists took Danny (her husband) and Einat(4) down to the beach. There, according to eyewitnesses, one of them shot Danny in front of Einat so that his death would be the last sight she would ever see. Then he smashed my little girl's skull in against a rock with his rifle butt. That terrorist was Samir Kuntar.
By the time we were rescued from the crawl space, hours later, Yael (2), too, was dead. In trying to save all our lives, I had smothered her.
The next day, Abu Abbas announced from Beirut that the terrorist attack in Nahariya had been carried out "to protest the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty" at Camp David the previous year."
