Forced conversions are they compatible with the teachings of the Qur'an? The answer is: NO

What should be our reply to those that say that people should be converted by force or...? : "Read!" Like the Arcangel Gabriel said to the Prophet (PBUH): "iqra!" (read/recite).

The Qur’ an states that faith cannot be compelled and that the role of a prophet is to deliver his message; he has no power to convert others:
"There is no compulsion in religion. Guidance has been clearly distinguished from error. Whoever rejects evil and believes in God has grasped the trustworthy tie that has no weakness; and God is All-Hearing, All-Knowing."
(Baqara; 2:256)”
