Kareem was an elevated man... he came every day into a scene of destruction for his love of peace, not of one man but all men.
For his love of life, not of one man, but all men.
This is the real meaning of the word "Shahid". May his sacrifice not be in vain...
We learnt about Kareem's story from his father. Kareem was a #RedCrescent volunteer who lost his life 8 months ago in southern #Syria, while trying to move people injured in car bomb to hospital. On World Humanitarian Day, we stand in solidarity with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in recognition of their efforts to save lives in Syria.
